Formerly known as Mobilkom Austria, A1 merged with Telekom Austria and now serves millions of mobile, fixed-line, and broadband customers. Call forwarding works on all A1 mobile plans, both contract and prepaid.
GSM Forwarding Codes for A1
A1 supports the standard GSM forwarding codes. Open your phone’s dialer and enter the code, replacing [number] with the full destination number (including country code, like +431234567890).

Replace [seconds] with the ring time: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds.

Setup via the Mein A1 App
The Mein A1 app (available for iOS and Android) gives you a graphical way to manage forwarding.
- Open Mein A1 and log in with your A1 credentials
- Navigate to Services or Einstellungen (Settings)
- Find Rufumleitung (Call forwarding)
- Choose your forwarding type (all calls, no answer, busy, unreachable)
- Enter the destination number and confirm
Changes apply within seconds. The app also displays your active forwarding rules so you can verify everything is set up correctly.
Setup via the A1 Online Portal
A1’s web portal provides full forwarding management:
- Log in at a1.net with your Mein A1 account
- Go to your mobile service settings
- Find the call forwarding options
- Configure your forwarding rules and save
The portal is especially useful if you manage multiple A1 lines or if you prefer working from a computer.

Things to Watch Out For
- Forwarding costs: On A1 contract plans (A1 Go!, A1 Xcite), forwarded calls typically use your included minutes. On A1 Wertkarte (prepaid), forwarded calls are billed at your standard per-minute rate.
- International forwarding: Forwarding to numbers outside Austria is possible but costs more. The forwarded call is billed as an international call based on your tariff’s rates.
- EU roaming: Within the EU, forwarding works under roaming regulations. Outside the EU, forwarding availability and costs depend on your tariff and the country you’re visiting.
- Visual voicemail conflict: If you use A1’s visual voicemail, setting up your own forwarding rules may override the voicemail configuration. Dial
